Good for the price.

Alpine Swiss Mens Leather Wallet

Alpine Swiss Mens Leather Wallet

I have used this wallet for two years. It still holds very well. I really like this wallet. I have a lot of cards in it (credit, IDs, memberships, etc.), numbering about 13-14 cards at any one time. The large number of slots is great for this and holds all of them. I always carry a fair amount amount of cash (~10 bills or so) and put receipts, my work parking lot RFID card (the size of a credit card but three times as thick!) and half a dozen business cards in the long pockets as well. Yes, it does get a bit bulky with all this stuff (duh!), but has worked very well for two years. I just bought another one for reserve just in case it craps out in another two to three years. If I can get 4-5 years out of it, which seems quite possible, it's a darn good deal for the price and the amount of abuse I give it.

And contrary to the other viewer, I don't measure the angle it makes when put on a table, or those people wondering why a wallet gets bulky when you put a lot of stuff in it. My needs are: It fits all my stuff, it's easy to get stuff in and out of it, and fits in pants' back pockets.

  1. This leather wallet is of high quality and has ample card slots...which many competing wallets do not. I have been looking for a new leather wallet for my husband for some time. Most other wallets lack enough card slots and have a flip-up window for the photo ID. My husband does not like this style. He prefers a relatively flat wallet that holds many cards without bulging in his back pants pocket. The price is very reasonable.

  2. I had to replace my old wallet of one year because some of the card slots were ripped.

The Alpine Swiss wallet has much better constructed slots and is much better engineered than my old wallet. The cards fit snugly into the slots without a struggle as many wallets require when they are new.

The cover has a nice buttery leather feel, and looks nice, although I would prefer not to have the little red button logo on it (I knew it was there from the product picture, so no point deduction for that).

Overall, this wallet seems like an excellent wallet for the money. My last wallet cost twice as much and was not nearly as well stitched or constructed. Time will ultimately tell whether this wallet holds up well, but the design and workmanship give me confidence.

  3. This is definitely a good one either you have a lot of cards and cash or not much. It kind of expands depending on that. It is definitely lamb leather. It reminds me the softness of a leather jacket I used to have.

  5. I paid about $10 for this wallet. As some other reviews said, it doesn't feel like real leather, but i just need a low-price, nice-looking wallet to keep my stuff, so i was happy with my purchase.

  8. The Alpine Swiss wallet is a very nice product. Wallet is large enough to fit in your pocket well. There are plenty of spaces to hold cards. The bill separator is a very nice feature. Wallet has a very nice feel and looks very attractive.
